The first Sims game, the first game I ever eagerly anticipated before release, and forever dear to my heart. I still go back to it, because the less family-focussed gameplay is very different to TS2 and TS3. I wrote more about all this here on the sims page :)

You can no longer get this game from the Internet Archive because EA started selling it again. Apparently it runs like shit. And you know no-one there today had a hand in it: at best, they're currently desecrating the corpse of its wretched descendant TS4.
